Fresh like an orange!

This watercolour painting was done pretty quickly. 

When I opened my sketchbook back in 2011, 

inspiration of painting orange just flowed in because during that time, 

I was surrounded by lots of orange blooms at home!

Now, when I revisit this painting, 

the very same feeling of freshness of 

creating this painting still abide...

Many friends that I met in bloggerland like orange colour.

Julie, Ces, Bella Sinclair and Kenwooi..are a few to mention here.

Freshly I deliver my most freshly dedication to all the above 

and all that love orange colour yeah!

IF-Myth

This is a myth 神話 or traditional folklore about a  

Sang Kancil and the farmer.

 Growing with Sang Kancil stories.....

As far that I can recall, 

I enjoy every single moment 

reading it over and over when I was little.

From its fairytale pictures to its beautiful stories' lines..

 and to doodling my own version too!

IF-Journey

This is a 10 minutes colourful fun doodle I created during my two days stay in the hospital last month.

Feeling free and easy as the doctors and nurses were all so kind to me. They talked to me, served me, giving me the right knowledge and support.......

In fact, I was treated like a guest....can you imagine....there were 4 delicious meals a day, I thought I were staying in a hotel. Then my mind drifted away,

Adding some fun splashes and cute animals......

Indeed, it's fun in the sun....a rainbow journey that I long to have.......

Cool cool....lucky lucky me with my magical pens! It all followed my heart, not too much and not too little....I was truly well rested and have ample of time doing lots of doodles and reading the books that I bought months ago.

IF-Cultivate

Attending music lesson at the young age is a good start

to instill and cultivate music interest in young children!

Music conductor and also the music teacher

has stirred up the learning spirit and mood

of his young students!

 Little wonders are playing the keyboards 

with joy and full of passion.

 The passion goes on....

Dear friends,

Look at the theme above, all about music. As a piano teacher, I really enjoy teaching music to my students. The traveller card that I made for talented Children book writer Stella is also suitable for this week IF-Cultivate.

My art journey progress really go well. I have created so many lovely art in midst of my busy schedule. I do lots of doodling and sketching lately. My dream is to live as an artist. I am cultivating myself to do either art or craft everyday. I hope I have the time to show all of them to you in the near future.

My second batch piano students have just finished their music exams just now.

Mr. Owl in the centre of attraction!

Mr. Owl is having an artificial moustache as well as a beard

 to show off his muscular side as a male owl and he definitely feels great!

IF-Breakfast

This was a fast sketch I did early of this year and I think it's appropriate for this week IF challenge. I am new to Photoshop CS3 and I am still exploring the software now.

Love the second one above with an inverted fluorescent blue background and outlines.

OK, back to the topic, Ms. rabbit is to choose her creative menu of the day. The creative menu consists of donut, cupcake, grapes, apple and orange. If I were her; I would grab all the above for breakfast....turn fruits into smoothie and serving with donut and cupcake!

However, my ideal breakfast is two glasses of low fat hot chocolate milk comes with garlic buns and two green apples. Of course, I love to have nasi lemak ( coconut rice) and Asam Laska Maggi Mee as breakfast once in a blue moon!

Who said that a bag can't be a hat! It's not just merely a bag or an equipment but an accessory add colours to the shot. What a breakthrough from the the tradition! It's a fabulous fashion statement at that time. It had stolen many girls' heart which including me...

On the other hand,  I super love drawing and painting portriat but now I rather shift my focus to other areas. Or else you see me happily painting just all portraits........no other works will be shown here. That's will be quite boring! However, I would love to pick up this long lost love when I finish my other projects.

This is a watercolour painting I painted when I was in college. It's self taught since I was not studying graphic design. I found this interesting close up of a young model from a fashion column on the newspaper. So, I did a newspaper cutout and sticked it to my room. I liked her so much and decide to paint her.

I chose another painting direction that I had during that very moment. I trusted my instinct...
I introuded the colours that I think were suitable and appealing in this composition. As you now I like green. The green here is such a compliment to the red and light grey.....

I love the final soft effect I got here except the hidden left eye part should be free from that undecided accident stroke....

Talking about newspaper cut out. My friend introuduced me a to this super talented lady Vivian Toh that manage art bazaar. She also is a very young talented editor for a new local design magazine called CUT OUT. It's RM15 per copy and it's published quarterly.
 I have spoken to her on the phone and she's a very pleasant lady. Together she and her partner Jay Lim manage a new media company called tsubaki studio.
I would love to meet up with her to exchange art ideas in the near future. All the best to her current and future undertaking!

Due to my new busy schedule on my daily health care and some illustrated projects, I only finished coloured a few last weeks during Chinese New Year holidays.
