IF-Fresh

Fresh like an orange!

This watercolour painting was done pretty quickly.
When I opened my sketchbook back in 2011,
inspiration of painting orange just flowed in because during that time,
I was surrounded by lots of orange blooms at home!

Now, when I revisit this painting,
the very same feeling of freshness of
creating this painting still abide...

Many friends that I met in bloggerland like orange colour.
Julie, Ces, Bella Sinclair and Kenwooi..are a few to mention here.

Freshly I deliver my most freshly dedication to all the above
and all that love orange colour yeah!

Hey friends, you don't mind to feel some
fresh orange blooms
here, here and here!

Karate kid

Revisited the "Karate Kid" movie during my recent  music school break and thought that it's fun hands on to paint one....Even though it's a different version of karate but I must agree to painting the character with its karate uniform.
Above is a little sneak peek on the character I am working and it leads to a few more karate kids developments.......
Enjoy!

The fire breathing nose dragon....
He lives in a lake.
He puts fire in his nose and shoot in the air,
he shoots in the earth.
One olive baby got hit by the fire and bonked her head.
"Sorry"
They are friend now...
They dance happily together!
The end

This is a children picture book I did a year ago for my talented artist blogger friend Josh Billings to help and cheer his son Griffin Billings on fighting Leukemia.

Being an active, cheerful and creative little boy; he plays the drum very well, have faith despite of his situation and love to tell story during his free time. I am so encourage by him. I know that besides remembering him in prayers, there are so much I can do to show my support to him. And that’s how this book “The Fire Breathing Dragon” came to birth!

Griffin most recent news update is so encouraging, he was granted a wish from the Children's Wish Network to visit Sea World, Disney World and Discovery Cove. I am so glad to learn that he is doing well and with steady recovery.

For you all that are concern to help Griffin, you can visit here for more details and also here to read of his amazing recovery.

Just in case, these pages above seem familiar to you. Here was the project when all it got started last year.

IF-Equipment

Who said that a bag can't be a hat! It's not just merely a bag or an equipment but an accessory add colours to the shot. What a breakthrough from the the tradition! It's a fabulous fashion statement at that time. It had stolen many girls' heart which including me...

On the other hand,  I super love drawing and painting portriat but now I rather shift my focus to other areas. Or else you see me happily painting just all portraits........no other works will be shown here. That's will be quite boring! However, I would love to pick up this long lost love when I finish my other projects.

This is a watercolour painting I painted when I was in college. It's self taught since I was not studying graphic design. I found this interesting close up of a young model from a fashion column on the newspaper. So, I did a newspaper cutout and sticked it to my room. I liked her so much and decide to paint her.

I chose another painting direction that I had during that very moment. I trusted my instinct...
I introuded the colours that I think were suitable and appealing in this composition. As you now I like green. The green here is such a compliment to the red and light grey.....

I love the final soft effect I got here except the hidden left eye part should be free from that undecided accident stroke....

Talking about newspaper cut out. My friend introuduced me a to this super talented lady Vivian Toh that manage art bazaar. She also is a very young talented editor for a new local design magazine called CUT OUT. It's RM15 per copy and it's published quarterly.
I have spoken to her on the phone and she's a very pleasant lady. Together she and her partner Jay Lim manage a new media company called tsubaki studio.
I would love to meet up with her to exchange art ideas in the near future. All the best to her current and future undertaking!

Orange Cherry Blossom

Today I found this art demo from my archive
while sorting my old drawings!

So naturally I come to think of how fast the time flies and
we are moving to the second half of the year soon!

P/S: I just came back from an art exhibition.
Too bad, no photos were allowed in the art gallery so all I can do now
is to connect you through the official website for
some interesting info. Please click here!

I especially enjoyed the Devil Robots and Haroshi's exhibitions.
They are so inspiring. I also feel proud of our new emerging artists
and I want to be part of them by two years times.
Thus, I pray that God grant me the right timing to open my shop,
hopefully by end of this year.

Yes, I am willing to venture into the art business.
Actually I had sent in my application together with my survey during weekends
to the local authority many years back.
I wanted to sell balloons and ice cream at Tasik Shah Alam .
Even they rejected my submission, I always at the lookout for other opportunity.
According to them, no mobile hawkers were allowed to do business over there except for permanent store owner.

Then, I helped my lecturer to sell her children books to most of my young students.
I am still doing the direct sales part time now. Most of my customers are my students' parent and my late mother's friends.
Right now, the pom pom crafts are created for the teen and younger age niche groups.
Partly doing a marketing survey, I asked my students and friends for a list of products that they like to own. The price that they can afford. If it's a unique collection, can their parents give some allowances to make up for a close. Some other questions have been asked too.

Besides, I am developing another line for adult buyer after pom pom crafts.

Thus, I only update my blog when I am free.
Hope you understand!

Good night all!

Dedication to Caroline Soer

Faithful & Loyal:
Wherever you go, I will follow!

Caroline Soer's cat Charlie is missing!
I hope he will be back soon Charlie.
Pet is human's best friend. Whether you have a dog, cat or....You will miss your pet when it's he or she is not around.

See, the illustration above showing how faithful a cat can be.....yeah a friend as well as a follower to her master.

I am pretty sure you have a very dear pet too. Life is made perfect with the happy moment shared together. Please cherish your time with your pet because their life spans are much shorter than human. May be just a seven to 10 years....

I also take this opportunity to pray for Caroline's operation to be successful and smooth. I pray that the doctors and the medication team are efficient to take care her and her feeling & condition..
May her have a restful time to enjoy the process of natural healing. We all await your coming back dear Caroline. Take care and yes, yes I still remember your sunshine smile and you are so pretty as always!

No photographs were allowed.
So, I came out with these paintings!
