IF-Welcome

Just a small friendly gesture,
piggy welcomes Winnie to his home on the range.
Bibi follows Winnie wherever she goes.
She stops by and play.
A4 greeting card.

Welcome back and thanks to stay with me friends.
For the previous few weeks, I have been researching on how to improve my illustration skill and put it into action.
I am glad I took some good time off to reflex. Thinking & learning the effective way to improve my illustrations. I can only do it bits by bits as there are so many other matters that I am working with.
As you can see here, I have finalized and decided on a character to work on which bases on the previous IF entry here.
A simple layout with great ease of balance and style also have been reconsidered.
I try to develop a clearer & cleaner style for my up coming projects. I am happy that I am clear of my direction in art making. This will be a continual life long learning project. Yes, I am ready for my short & long term undertaking. Thus, naturally I am now spending lesser time but more quality time on line. He..He..which is healthy and productive for me.
OK. Bye!
P/S: So tell me, what do you think?

I love this character! She is so very sweet. Your watercolor is delicate and beautiful, very enchanting. I especially like the striped ball. I admire you for thinking about and focusing on your art. Deciding on a style can be so hard, but you picked a wonderful direction. I'm excited to see more!

What a sweet illustration!
It is good to know what you want and go for that!
I don't have any plan on my art, I just go with the flow and I am learning a lot. Trying new techniques and things but also holding on to my mandalas, which I still enjoy making......

Have a nice day!

Yoon See, I'm happy that you have been resting a little and that you are now more focused! It really shows in your little illustration! Watercolour certainly isn't the easiest medium to handle and you are already creating some lovely work, good for you! Will look forward to more of these cute characters. Take care and enjoy the holiday!

These are lovely illustrations, Yoon See, watercolor is tricky and you seem to have a good grip on it .Your characters are very sweet and watercolor is a good medium to compliment their softness and gentleness.

I have just discovered your blog after you left a lovely comment on my very new blog, thank you both for the comments and for the fact that it has lead me here.
I am enjoying exploring your blog, these illustrations are so sweet and clear, I am looking forward to seeing more of your work.
I also celebrate that improving artistic skills is a life long pursuit. I feel so lucky to be an artist and not an athlete whose skills are at a peak for such a short time. To be able to grow and learn for all of the rest of my days is a blessing.
