My story for "Season To Give" contest

There is a "Season To Give" contest at my artistic interior designer friend Ken’s blog about sharing your most precious present that you had received. If you would love to participate, please visit his blog and stand a chance to grab this beautiful candle holder specially designed by him.

My most precious presents are two books given by my late father during my primary school. He knew I like drawing so much, so he gave me this first art book entitled pattern designing for encouragement & inspiration.
My father was an avid singer and he used to sing at all occasions, be it at home, office, wedding dinner, competition….He gave me an International folk song manuscript and taught me to sing along with him. I really have fun with those session. (Sorry, I can’t locate this book at the moment)

Although he was not a Christian at that time but surprisingly he knew how to sing Christian Songs & Hymns….his favourite was Russian Songs.
I remembered I used to sing some of these folk songs during my school vocal exam; the teachers loved them so much! I was so thrilled too:)
Besides, I frequently followed my dad to Karaoke singing session during my secondary and college year. I remembered I got drunk together with my dad one time. Coincidentally, my uncle worked there and reported this incident to my mum, it was so embarrassing but my dad admitted his mistake so that it was our first & last experience to get drunk! Ha…Ha…
Truly, from very young I had been inspired by my late father to love art & music.
I am proud to have a great dad. He was so friendly just like my friend. I didn’t attend any tuition except for piano, so he was my tuition teacher for Additional Mathematic.
Although you are not around but your high spirit and passion toward work & play have inspired and moulded me to continue my mission as a successful artist and loveable person just like you. Yeah, thanks dad for the best you have given me made me who am I today!
