Bold talk: Protect our interest

I feel like writing today and share my experience about my former co-worker A. A is an outstanding worker at work and we know each other for 8 years and still keep in touch even though we were not working in the same company.

Few years back, he was transformed from a decent guy to a bad tempered guy. During that time, he was addicted to online casino gambling game. He was unable to redraw himself from the trap setted and continue to fall, lose money.......

Coincidentally, he was my direct sale client. He used to pay me on time. However, with his debts, he only settled his partial product payment after 1 year. Since then, I have learnt that I must be firmed on doing business and demand cash on delivery or normally I put up a policy to collect some deposit upfront in order to protect myself.

Yeah, guess what happen next! Since then, we were no more friend, when I called up and talked about my payment, he used four letter words and screamed at me "F...k, stay away from me!" "I will sure pay you..."
What's an insult to me.......

I am a persistance person, it took me one whole year of follow up on him and I am happy that I manage to get him settle all his outstaning debt of my products.

The moral of the story is:
Always protect ourselves and only be friend with positive & righteous people.
Never judge a book by its cover. People will change but God is always there for us.
However, most people seldom change, it's just we haven't discover the other sides of that person yet!
Open up and we will get to know more friends through works, blogging......
Beware of some sweet talker with two faces.......
Eventually, you will know who are your true friends.
True friends are the ones to stay and be able to stand the test of time.
Hope you have at least found one!

I'm sorry you had to go through that. I guess that is life; you meet good people and you meet bad. Thank you for sharing with us =)
