As promised before, I would like to share the skill of open a coconut.
Sorry, my student accidently deleted the video that she recorded for me.
So, three weeks back, I brought her another coconut, asking her Indonesian maid's permission to redo the whole process again!
She was really fast, watch the video and you will agree with me:)
However, she is a friendly, humble and kind person. She is multi-talented. She knows how to speak Mandarin and her cooking skill is surprisingly good. Can be compared to the chef in 5 star restaurant!
And about my skill opening a coconut...
I just dig a small hole to allow the coconut drink flows out smoothly only.
Kind of cheating!
Enjoy the video!

Beautifully done! What a lot of work!
that is 'a long time no see' process. the last time i saw this in reality was decades ago.
That knife looks VERY sharp!!! Hard work but in the hands of an expert, looks easy (ha ha!). Thanks for sharing!
Oh my gosh, it takes a lot of skill to weild that cleaver seemingly so easily. It is a lot of work. I will appreciate my coconut shrimp even more now that I see how difficult it is to get to the meat and milk.
I did not realize that cocnuts are so thick when fresh! Thanks for sharing!
