Espirit Glam Rock 2009

I passed by Concord Hotel Kuala Lumpur last two weeks and discovered the Espirit Company was having a glam rock annual dinner for their staff. The event was about to finish but the spirit of celebration still on. I was so moved and excited by their high spirit of cheers! I just felt turning into a rocker to join them.

Gee, I did joined them for a 5 minutes photo shots!

Pantai Morib

Looking for a budgeted vacation and near to the city , Pantai Morib or Morib Beach is one.

It's an ideal hang-out place for couples and family where other beaches are way too crowded. Situated at the southern end of the Selangor state, making it even more appealing. Well, if by all means travel by car, it will take about 1 hour to reach from Shah Alam.

So , it's definitely a great place to travel during weekends.

Very quite, peaceful and relaxed setting, making the travellers willing to come back for a second trip. A great retreat for brainstorming and get away from the chaos city life.

You get to listen to the waves as you stroll along the beautiful white beach. There are so many things are waiting for your discoveries!!! Best of all for such treat.....

My brother and sister in-law really had enjoyed theirs. Too bad, I miss it again.....I was teaching again! Actually, it was an unplanned trip, they just wanted to go somewhere and the idea just popped up at that time.......

I miss her posting. Thank you, she is posting again and what a surprise to hear from her and she has been accepted in 2nd CJ Picture Book Award! Her family, country and her friend & fan are so proud of her. I am so proud of her too! My sincere prayers and wishes to her that she will continue her chosen precious journey as a great award winning illustrator. An evergreen favourite illustrator that loved by all!

Practice makes perfect

Practice makes perfect means that the more you practice, the better you will become.
If you want to become great, then you should practice as much as possible.
"See how fast you are getting better at the piano? Practice makes perfect." is one of my encouragements to my students.

I am on practising mode again besides playing the piano. Another hour to Monday. Happy Monday! Lots of smiles from the girls & boys here:)

My beloved friend Kak Emila Yusof is having a fabulous birthday giveaway. It's a super cute little Red & Green Ridinghood as shown above.

I really want Emila's cute handmade dolly because I am actually a big fan of Kak Emila. So getting a one and only handmade gift from her is super privilege. It will be my little companion to sleep along! The joy of participating and win is equivalent to getting the 1st prize in blog 4 FT!

I have been visiting her for a few times. Every meet ups are super fun and thrilling. Before I get to meet her in person, I admire her works through her blog. "Together We Grow 52 "

is an abstract mixed media art that I created months back

to commemorate Malaysia's 52 years in Independence on 31/8/2009

The green wash is about Malaysian in search of their "Greener Pastures"

The golden KLCC is to signify the 52 years in independence.

White "52" smoke means freedom, creative and constant transient!

The orange bits indicates many countless great challenges

that Malaysians had gone through before the day of its Independance.

I learn from my talented artist friend Kak Emila's blog about Blog4FT, a contest to cultivate the public's interest to share their thoughts on the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan.

The objectives of the contest are:-
To create positive Internet buzz about the Federal Territories (FT).
To promote the spirit of 1Malaysia.
To serve as a powerful marketing and promotional tool for KL, Putrajaya & Labuan.
To highlight the positive activities being carried out by individuals, charities and groups in the Federal Territories.

Obituary

My neighbour's dog Freca passed away on Saturday night. He had been attacked, bitten by an adult copra and died within half an hour. May you rest in peace Freca.
